Fatigue and Exhaustion

Commonly, when you reach a state in which you're not refreshed by rest or sleep, you're said to suffer from chronic fatigue. Exhaustion sets in after chronic fatigue is entrenched and you become unable to rally. By that time you may not be able to sleep, or conversely, not able to stop sleeping. Even the smallest effort may leave you depleted and all facets of your life suffer. You're on a downward slide, you feel yourself slipping and can't stop, no matter how hard you try. First your work and relationships are damaged, now your self esteem is sinking. Depression lurks around the corner.
